What ingredients are in a Spiced Chai Essential Oil Blend?
-
Does Spiced Chai essential oil have caffeine?
Yes, our Spiced Chai blend includes Coffee essential oil, which does contain trace amounts of caffeine. This oil is for external use only and should not be ingested, so you are unlikely to feel any caffeine effects from using this blend. However, it is possible that a small amount may be absorbed through the skin if used topically. Use with caution if you are very sensitive or allergic to caffeine. -
Can I use Spiced Chai oil on skin?
Yes! To use our Spiced Chai Essential Oil as a natural fragrance, or for its potential benefits, you can dilute it with a carrier oil and apply the oils directly to the skin. You can also add 1-3 drops to your regular skincare or haircare products. Always patch test before extensive use to ensure you do not have sensitivities or allergies to the ingredients in this blend. To patch test, apply a tiny amount of oil to one area of the skin and wait 15 minutes to check for signs of irritation. If no visible irritation occurs, proceed with topical use. -
Do spicy essential oils feel hot?
Some spicy essential oils, such as Cinnamon Bark, Clove Bud, and Sichuan Pepper, contain a natural plant compound called capsaicin which creates a gentle warming sensation on the skin. Although this feeling may be uncomfortable if you're not used to it, the effect of capsaicin may help support overall comfort. If you are sensitive to "hot" oils, dilute with additional carrier oil. To avoid potential irritation, do not use hot oils with heating pads or hot water bottles.
