Rocky Mountain Oils Product Reformulation Update: Our Commitment to Sustainability

At Rocky Mountain Oils (RMO), our mission has always centered on providing pure, high-quality essential oils while maintaining environmental responsibility. Today, we're announcing important changes to three of our beloved essential oil blends: Aligning, Balance, and Baby Skin.

Why the Change?
 Rosewood (Aniba rosaeodora) is currently endangered, with its population continuing to decline. While RMO has always sourced our Rosewood oil through CITES-certified suppliers, we've made the conscious decision to completely eliminate its use in our products. The cosmetics and perfumery industries are the largest consumers of Rosewood oil, and we believe reducing demand is crucial for this species' survival.

Our Updated RMO Formulations:

Aligning

  • New formulation features Frankincense Serrata and Lavandin

  • Maintains the sweet, woodsy aromatic profile

  • Preserves the original blend's therapeutic properties

  • Expected availability: End of 2024

Balance

  • Reformulated without Rosewood, Ylang ylang, and Myrrh

  • Carefully rebalanced to maintain effectiveness

  • New aroma profile while retaining core benefits

  • Expected availability: Spring 2025

Baby Skin (15ml and 1oz)

  • Now features Frankincense Serrata and Lavandin

  • Maintains gentle, skin-supporting properties

  • Same careful attention to safety and efficacy

  • Expected availability: End of 2025

 While you'll notice some differences in the aromatic profiles of these products, Rocky Mountain Oils has worked diligently to maintain their therapeutic properties and effectiveness. Our commitment to quality remains unchanged, even as we evolve to protect endangered species.
